Food Accelerator Program

On Monday, November 16, 2015, Rutgers Food Innovation Center (FIC) hosted its first-ever RutgersX – Accelerating Food Entrepreneurs Conference at the Rutgers University College Avenue Student Center located at 126 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.

Held during Global Entrepreneurship Week, the event was part of FIC’s new RutgersX Food Accelerator Program, and is designed to showcase its initial cohort of clients in front of a broad array of investors and members of the food industry. 
In addition to “pitch presenters,” the agenda included panel discussions with food industry leaders, conversations with successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, and welcoming remarks from state and national government leaders. The program was interactive and there were time for networking among invitees, including a range of angel and venture fund investors, banks, as well as large food companies that are interested in partnering with innovative small food businesses with high-growth potential.
